Svarty.8019
As you can see, the walls go up to form a big metal barrier around the Lord's room at inner garrison (you can see what it would have looked like because one of the walls is permanently "up". You can also see that the bridge over by the Mystic Forge prevents the wall from ever being a part of the game. But how would this have worked? When would the inner garrison become the turtle'd iron fortress we all wish it could be? It almost certainly was never going to be a tactivator! DemonSeed.3528
You can see it animate when you also load in from the waypoint.
Kovu.7560
I'll admit I haven't paid that much attention to detail.Haven't those always been there? Has this been addressed before? With invulnerable fortifications being an option, adding an extra pseudo-layer of defense to the garrison keep would be kind of overkill considering how easy it is to defend already, but it would be neat to know if this particular detail has some history attached to it beyond aesthetics.~ Kovu
Svarty.8019
It seems to have been designed before the mechanics were introduced, just as some cool looking fortress.

ABL inner garrison is actually just Shaemoor garrison. The openings in the walls you see are supposed to be the outer walls with prepositioned siege (catapults) capable of firing on attackers outside (centaurs). That's why you are supposed to raise and lower the walls - to protect the siege from outside attacks.
