New Greatsword Legendary looks amazing

I was hoping that even with the layoffs, they would release the last greatsword legendary.....and they did, and it looks beautiful from the quick trailer.

yep...nice little 'stow' graphic to boot. Will look good for my mesmer, but I don't play power.

I like the overall form of it, but the colors are meh ... much too neon-colored for my taste and wouldnt go well with any of my chars.

Also seeing that the spinning mesmer auto-attack for humans get a special animation makes me sad again that asura dont have it ... why cant we have nice things aswell? :(

I really like the effect, however the skin just looks like an upgraded Immortal skin from the BLTC or a cheap dagger from a hobby store. It's not as good as gen1.

They did well on the animations, especially stowing the weapon. Looks too similar to BL wep skins (dominator/immortal) mesmer vibe is strong but I'll wait to see it in game. I utterly despise the color scheme; it'd be sick if we could dye weapon skins... that'll never happen.

I wished ArenaNet had pushed the concept a bit further. Would have been nice if there had been no stowed weapon, and it materialized on the character's hands when it's drawn, for example; the current animation almost implies that.

I'm a little bit sick of blades tailored specifically to mesmers, not going to lie :'( Pretty sure they get precedence when it comes to Fashion Wars. Another reminder that this game would really benefit from dyeable weapons. Shame that that's not really realistic, though. Still, overall cool shape and animations.

Looks great, now if I ever decide to make a GS I'll have a tough choice though

Well it looks leagues better than the giant gaudy paddle that is the gen 1 GS, not sure I use them enough to make it though.

One of the very few decent looking legendaries IMO.

I have eternity. I'm getting this too. It fits my mesmer better. Other characters of mine will still use eternity.

I only have one gift to use and I'd like to know if this GS the last legendary from the 2nd generation.

In my opinion it looks like a bigger and less detailed toy-version of the Shining blade, that seems to have been colored by a 7 year old kid.

So true. I reskinned most of those I own, with only a few exceptions (Flameseeker, Nevermore, Sharur <3 ... oh, and Frenzy, because it is fun to look at under water ;) ).

I have Gen 1 GS so I won't make this, but it looks nice nonetheless.
