About opening loot bags, character level and bag rarity.

I know that it is more profitable to open some loot bags on mid level characters. However, I have a color vision deficiency and have problems telling the colors of some bags to see what the rarity of the bags are. Most don't say in the descriptions. Does it matter if I open all my loot bags on a mid level character or will I be missing out on a chance for more valuable loot doing that? If it does is there anyway I can tell what bags are what given my limitation? I can tell the blue ones fine, but have problems telling the difference between masterwork, rare, and exotic colors. At least Unidentified Gear tells me what they are so I'm good with those. :)

Unidentified Gear always gives lvl 80 stuff, so no point in moving them to a bag opener. I don't think there's any bags that would be a loss to open on a lower-level character though.

Thanks, that helps solve my issue then. I was always afraid of opening my loot bags on my mid level character for fear of missing out on something since I couldn't tell. So I never really did it and always opened them on my L80. Maybe now I can start earning a bit more gold. :smile:

The only object that is Lv.80 regardless of character's level are the pieces of unidentified gear. Items from other sources (consumers such as Princess/Mawdrey/etc; Bag of Loot) tend to sway results towards the level of the opener.
