GW2 won't start after hitting "Play" button

So I just got a good enough computer back after my previous one took a bath. I redownloaded the game and let it install. It worked yesterday, then I had to update my graphics card drivers (NVIDIA MSI 1080) for something else. I came back today to try and play, but after pressing play, it does seemingly nothing. It causes the icon to light up (as if opening the game), then goes away and nothing opens.

Is this something as simple as a conflict between drivers or something that I've just overlooked? I've tried a few methods found from googling for a similar issue that I'm having, and those attempts have not seemed to work.

EDIT: As an additional notation, I just attempted to run it in windowed mode via a Run command. It worked, and I changed the resolution back to normal status. What would be the cause of this?

Have you tried rolling back the drivers you updated?

I just rolled back the drivers and it's still experiencing the same issue.

Perhaps, try a 'clean' install of the older drivers.
