Trouble getting Alpha Beetle to spawn

Hey guys. Working on unlocking the Roller Beetle (I'm a bit late to the party). Only thing I haven't managed in the collection yet is the Alpha Beetle. I can't get the thing to spawn for me.

I'm in the Far Silverwastes. Some guides say the lower left corner. Others say it could also spawn in the upper left corner. One guide said that killing the Giant Beetle in the area gets the Alpha to spawn. I tried that and nothing happened at all. Some forum comments said it's on a fifteen minute timer. I waited a long time and nothing happened. Are there some prerequisites for getting this to spawn? I'm not sure how to get this to work and Dulfy and the Wiki didn't help much.

Also, can I solo it ok in my Elementalist with my scrub-level skills?

if the 4 veteran mordrem event is up you need to finish that.

That did the trick. I had to wait a while after killing the 4 mordrem bosses, but it spawned.

Tried to solo it and it didn't work. But a second player came along after I whined in map chat, and the two of us downed it. Thanks.
