Anatolian Turk.4057
I want to complete one raid so i can unlock the masteries but most guilds requires x-amount of exp but im still new. I saw one guild selling raids on lfg and when i asked him how much he wants, he said 200MC per raid. Thats like 330G per raid, imo that a lot. what should i do? Cyninja.2954
Join a training run, training guild or training discord.Look for the easy raid encounters like Cairn, Escort, MO or Samarog.
Ayakaru.6583
Look up RTI.enjin.com if you want training and independence. Good place to begin.Several other starter raiding guilds as well.
Metasynaptic.1093
Install discord and join Raiders in Training or Raid Academy. Do a Cairn, Escort or soul River.
killermanjaro.5670
Try asking nicely on the raid forum for some help. I did that way back when I needed to unlock the track and got messages from a lot of kind souls willing to help me get the track unlocked (for free too!) by essentially carrying me with a group from their guilds. Illconceived Was Na.9781
First: why do you want to unlock the raid masteries if you aren't planning on raiding? They have no value outside of raids.Second: unlocking them requires only a single boss kill, not a full wing. There should be plenty of sellers offering earlier wing bosses at prices less than 200 mystic coins. And of course, as others have suggested: there are training guilds available if you want to learn. Advice I would give to the OP is to spend some time in Lion's Arch. There are always players advertising their new and upcoming guilds. These are usually entry level guilds that themselves are training for raids and are welcoming to forming raid training sessions
Etria.3642
I admit, I'm gradually reaching the point where I'll pay for a Xera kill, simply because our casual guild can't quiiiiiite do it, I've decided I will save the coins manually(ie not do anything extra to get them) and once I reach the buy price, if we haven't cleared it by then, I will. Last thing I need for the collection. Then again, our trouble also is we simply don't try it very often. More usually, it's bang our collective heads for an hour on a difficult(to us) boss, then we get frustrated and retreat to our much more familiar wings one and four to get LI and loot. I guess at least that is improvement...it used to be only wing 4! And honestly, we can now do CA, escort, and KC without /too/ much trouble. Sloth is getting there, though we take too long(dps issues, I know) so I can SEE we're progressing, just. I want that silly collection done. I already have everything gathered to make the heart for the next one. At this rate I'll have enough LI for the entire armor by the time I complete the collection.tldr; use a casual guild or training guild to open the track and start getting LI and then just pay for the bosses you absolutely need. Ayrilana.1396
You only need one raid encounter to unlock the raid masteries as what you're being quoted is an entire wing. There's really no reason to unlock them unless you do raids.Raid wings 1-4 will typically run 400G each although some guilds may bundle them together for a discount such as 1200G for all four. Wings 5 and 6 will be around 600G and the new wing is an overpriced 2-2.5K. A single boss would likely be 100G although you could typically join a training raid for one of the easier encounters and probably get a clear that way.
