WHAT if Vitality would give % dmg reduction againts Conditions.

The more Vitality you have the more % dmg reduction you get againts Condition......
Base health/Vitality that comes with the class does not count... only the Vitality from gear.

no ? bad idea ? i go back to my cave then ............ :/

    Well u could stack 100% condi damage reduction with this probably.
    This + toughness and healing power, welcome to unkillable bunker.

    Its a good thing u cant reduce condi damage with raw stats. This is one of the reasons condi is viable at all.

    Mirage since Day 1 - It got better!

    thats not how stacking works in the game.... i mean there is a reason you cant reach % dmg reduction with Toughness lol

    also devs can adjust the ammount of % dmg reduction Vitality would give it would be max 30% maybe just maaaybe if you stack it like mad 40% Maybe.... or something like this

    also didnt they removed the Toughness/healing power mainstat Combo Amulets from PVP ? you realy thing they would implement a Vitality Toughness Healing Power amulet ? loooooooool they barely dare to implement cele back even while its nerfed to the ground XDDDD

    and THATS not the reason why Condi is Viable.............

    Conditions dont have a counter Stat like everything else

    the only thing we have is a resistance boon that realy few classes have acces to in a reliable way...... and it gets corrupted anyway......

    Maybe this is the time to implement something againts Condition DMG that everyone have acces to... INSTEAD of nerfing it to the ground......

    condition damage did not change for several months/years. Condition apllication changed. Every ability does Power damage, while only a few apply additional conditions. Power damage can be increased by ferocity/precision. Condi burst can only be increased by condi damage. This is one of the reasons why condi damage is unaffected by armor.

    U never mentioned that this change is PvP - only.

    Healin power has no counter stat.
    Toughness has no counter stat
    Vitality has no counter stat
    Precision has no Counter stat
    Ferocity has no counter stat
    Condition damage has no counter stat

    Power has a counter stat.

    Cleanse is an option, beside resistance.
    Cleanses/resistance can be achived thorugh the team very frequently, while i dont know much classes that can negate power damage outside of mesmers distortion share.
    Heals negate Power damage as well as condi damage.

    Condi can kill ppl and it's good that way.
    Reduce condi damage by vitality and somehow condis cant kill ppl anymore.
    Are u implementing that condis shouldn't be able to kill People?

    I like the idea. But should be a very small percentage. Maybe max -30% or something similar for a class runing max vit

    There is no need for counter stat , there is always an other way to counter
    First of all , healing power is counter by poison
    Thoughness can be counter with vulnerability
    Vitality can be counter with hight dmg pressure
    Condition can be counter by resistance BUT i confess , with PoF i was hoping for a counter stat like toughness for damage .
    It would be nice if anet put in game a new stat who can counter condition dmg like toughness for damage . It will force very interresting theory craft in WvW or PvP , when you have to decide if you are going to tank condi Or dmg

    wut ? thats some bad logic there do you know how these stats even work ? ....

    Healing power is not OP and you need to sacrafice ALLOT to get enough of that stat to worth anything.. so it does not need a counter stat

    Toughness IS a counter stat itself lol its counter is bassicaly More Power/Precisious/ferocity ( they are each others counter )

    Vitality is just Base HP its counter Stat is bassicaly More dmg so every single stat that increases your dmg........

    Precision and Ferocity is all there to increases power dmg so again as i said Toughness

    Condition dmg.............. no counter and its out of hand.....

    Adding a damage reduction stat for condition will make things worse. Conditions are balanced around not having a damage reduction stat. If one was added the damage of conditions would be increased. Anyone not running the stat would now die even faster.

    Secondly, condition damage already has counters. Conditions can be cleansed, something which has no equivalent for power. Don't say healing, healing works for condition damage as well, and don't say dodging either, attacks that apply conditions can be dodged too. Also compare protection with resistance, protection reduces power damage by 33%, resistance gives full immunity to condition damage.

    If you don't want to run those counters then it's your fault when you get wrecked by conditions. If I was to run a full berserker build and then came here to complain about getting wrecked by power damage I'd get laughed out of the forums.

    by that Logic my Chair is a Counter to toughness because its not affected by it....................

    WE ARE ALLREADY AT THAT POINT !!!!!

    the only thing that stat would do is let players build againts condies............ no conditions would not need to be increased BECAUSE WE ARE ALLREADY AT THAT LEVEL of Condition dmg right now............ it would balance it out........

    DID you EVER looked out of your PvE Window into the PvP World ? you cant move 5 meters before you get Conditioned...................
    i seriously think your talking about PvE not PvP............

    @OP having protection apply to all sources of damage is a much cleaner solution if your looking for a one change fix. but what the whole game needs is a PvP skill overhaul. power damage is just as broken as condi damage. people are hitting 10k+ on single skills now lol. 2k, 3k auto attacks are common too. that's ~10 auto attacks to wipe out the entirety of a players health bar. what a joke

    Thiefs Dagger Auto literaly can melt even high HP people in seconds......
