It feels impossible to start to WvW again.

Hello ! I used to WvW a lot before, but I took a break right before they put in the warclaw, and not so long ago I returned, but what I find now happening is that I can't keep up with the zerg at all, everyone just mounts up and move on before I can catch up due to not having warclaw, does anyone have a tip on how to get it fast ? Or how to keep up without the claw ?

get the keep/tower later this day on weekly reset and then roam the rewardtrack or scout/afk with shared participation till the rewardtrack is done.

Ah I see, but to get shared participation I need to get a commander who you know.. Wants to put me there.

a commander can provide shared participation to 20% of his squad, there is always plenty of spots unused. i am sure there are some commanders that wouldnt mind helping you get the warclaw, at least if you ask open tags.

Could always tag up yourself, you wont lag behind that.

It took me 3-4 hrs to get the warclaw so no worries it’s pretty easy.

Which makes me wonder, why https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elvie_the_Warclaw_Tender does not work like a mountain rental service (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mount_Trainer) for a fee of a few Badges until you leave the map.

The rental should be a 2G fee for 24 hours of use, and you still must have POF (which would mean you're working the reward track).

Of course the whining that F2P players should have it delivered on a platter won't end, but it would be a fair solution.

Or you could, I don't know, take some guards out, take some camps out, escort some dolyaks and actually play and get the reward track that way. Just a thought.

Or just cap a camp or 2, keep participation going by killing one person every 10 min...

So... as I explained in the other thread, there are very vocal trolls in WvW, but the majority are helpful.

Part of what you are getting here is that this thread has been started no fewer than 10 times in the last 2 months. It helps to use the forum search function whaling would have solutions to your problem.

The best bet is to reach out for help from the players around you.

For this reason however, I find that the implementation of mounts into WvWvW seems to have been not very well thought out. Especially in a game mode that players actively take long breaks from. I'm not necessarily for or against mounts but given how critical they are for group movement now I am of the opinion that they should have been a freebie unlocked via ability points like gliding.. but if you just absolutely have to introduce them into a game mode like WvWvW using a collection then make that collections tasks centered around something you know for sure will be both challenging but possible to do at all times regardless of the state of your matchup.

I'm not one to complain without offering some sort of a solution for others to in turn criticize so here you go;

Just create another chest gated behind a reward track that allows you to complete the collection. You could either be extremely generous (unlikely) and just give the mount away in the chest or allow players to select one component needed to complete collection per chest.

And I didn’t say is was a valid reason. It does get old though again, that being said, it’s not super hard to get, despite it appearing daunting at the start.

Perhaps so, I just have a habit of attracting like... 50 different deadeyes, all of which uh, you know, kinda kill me dead before I can react. :v So that is why I feel like it is a pain to try to do the Warclaw alone.

“Impossible “. Come on now. At least try and problem solve before you give up. If you want to achieve goals it requires some effort, even in a virtual environment. It may take several days but you can do it.

I never said it was impossible, I just said that I have a hard time to keep up with the Zerg to be able to do these objectives, because I am a really bad solo player, I am not going to lie to you there.

Also.. that's why I kinda asked for tips you know, how to actually do it.. To try to solve the problem.
