Magic Find affection on any type of boxes - need some answers

Hello.

I saw many people on youtube opening for example 10k Piece of Unidentified Gear with 800+ Magic Find.And my question is.. why the hell do they buff the magic find? This item is not affected by magic find or at least it doesn't say so in game on on gw wikia.

From what I understand with higher Magic Find you got higher chance to loot those from mobs, but MF shouldn't have anything to do with opening since there is no info about it.

Most people I ask-"Hey man, is magic find affecting every kind of boxes?"-"No, magic find affect items that says so."

^And that makes a lot sense for me. But then... so many people on youtube is wrong?

Are the videos older? From the time when MF did affect opening those items?

It used to be affected but is not anymore

Magic Find used to affect unidentified gear. This was changed on March 26th. Possibly the videos you are seeing that buff magic find are from before that day.
