Wouldn't be the first time that they made unique voice overs for a trailer.

Wasnt that line in an optional dialog after destroying the spear in glints lair where he offhandedly mentions "oh ya i met glint and was taught revenant powers"

Was really weird tbh. If he was gonna tell us in a single sentence why did he not take the five seconds to do so when we first asked him? Might just be misremembering. That mission was weird.

Rytlock has always been the "Manly Man" of the group, and manly men can't trouble others with irrelevant problems. They can't show weakness. They just get on with the task at hand.

Plus, I think Rytlock has a few troubles of his own regarding Glint’s death. For him, perhaps talking to a friend about his feelings regarding his time in the mists would be difficult. However, the Black Citadel likely only want practical applications for his new powers, and likely wouldn't dig too deeply so long as he gave them what they wanted.
