[NA][Raid][SM] Sentinels of Melandru is recruiting raiders for a static group!

Hello! My raid squad, Sentinels of Melaudru [sM], is recruiting 1, possibly 2 additional players for static group membership!

Guild Info

[sM] is a small guild consisting of 7 static group raiders and a rotating cast of mutual friends and fractal dudes that gather every week to clear all raid wings and repeat CM kills as needed for our bros. We founded the guild in November 2015 when GW2 raids were new, and most of us have been raiding for years, both in and out of GW2. Including breaks and time spent assembling the group, we clear all wings in 5-6 hours spread out across 3 nights running meta builds as much as possible. We also spend extra time helping newer dudes get their achievements and titles for maximum elitism.

Our guild and friend group consists mostly of age 21+ adults with full-time jobs and family commitments who nonetheless play PC games as a hardcore hobby. Time is our most precious resource! As a result, we favor going for fast, efficient, and smooth raid kills in a relaxed, productive, no-drama atmosphere. Our Discord is thoroughly R-rated and not for kids.

With folks going inactive due to work / life events (jobs, family, etc.) and waning interest in the game, we're looking to add a few more raid veterans to our ranks! Membership is trial-based and not based on nonsense such as minimum LI or chat code pings.

Region - North America

Schedule - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Start Time 9:30 PM Eastern (Server Time +1.5 h). End sometime between 11:30 PM and midnight. If our all wing full clear is going well and no one needs / wants to work on an achievement, we cut one of the evenings on a given week.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for cool, fun, and competitive people who will play power AND condition DPS roles at high level. Our general goal is to one-shot all bosses quickly, which means running proven, high DPS builds and reliable / resilient squad compositions as often as we can. High level means having experience in all wings and:

• Mechanics Knowledge - Know all boss mechanics and special tasks / skills required to win, including when to save skills for CC.

• Situational Awareness - Knowing what's going on and how to adjust when the kill attempt doesn't go exactly as planned. No tunnel vision. In my experience, a player with excellent situational awareness who prevents a wipe at 80th+ percentile DPS is often more effective than a player who benchmarks at 99th percentile DPS!

• Self Awareness - Being able to assess your strengths and weaknesses as a person and player realistically. Open to constructive critique.

• Self Improvement - Stay in up-to-date and in-practice with all your good builds. Practice the mechanics and dps rotations you suck at. Benchmark your rotation against top players. Show up prepared to do your part to achieve fast and consistent boss one-shots.

• Communication Skill - Speaking up when necessary, calling out where / when people should improve as needed. Critiquing others (including the commander or main tank/healer) is not automatically toxic, especially when delivered in a cool and friendly manner.

Desired power DPS roles include a few of the following: dps chrono (including willingness to learn focus pull and portal placement / timing), (rifle) deadeye, staff DD, sword weaver, dragonhunter.

Desired condi DPS roles include a few of the following: Mirage, Renegade, Scourge (when utilities such as epi and barrier are needed).

Bonus points also if you're willing to play power and condi banner warriors builds on a rotating basis with other dudes!

Being able to play as a grossly incandescent charr with flamboyant colors and a comprehensive knowledge of anime memes and obscure '90s references is also a plus.
