Is jeweler relevant anymore?

I actually liked leveling the jeweler craft on my ele, but increasingly I'm finding it pointless as a craft. Most of the gemstones I get from mining sit in my bank gathering dust and fetch only a few copper on the TP. Crafting actual jewels for socketing seem largely pointless in the late game also. Am I missing something?

I haven't used my jeweler for anything other than crafting copper, gold, and silver ingots in years now.

Jeweler really doesn't serve a purpose anymore, so far as I can tell. The only people who will use the trinkets are people leveling characters, and a lot of people don't bother with them til they have maxed out their character. The top level trinkets cannot be crafted though, you buy them from vendors.

That whole crafting line is basically obsolete.

I think there are a couple collections that require jewler to make certain items. So I guess there is that.

Aurora and a few legendaries are the only reason to level it.

I still use Jeweler to make exotic trinkets for my alts as opposed to buying most of them from the TP.

I use my jeweler to turn my junk gems into orbs, so I can turn the orbs into amalgamated gemstones.

I honestly misread this as "Is jeweler revenant anymore?" and I was really confused about if people were only using jeweler on revenants.

You need Jeweler for Mawdry and certain legendaries. Most people have access to cheap ascended trinkets now, so that doesn't come into play much anymore unless its for Givers gear.

Well, could be used for achievement-locked stats. I had an exotic Viper amulet for quite a while before unlocking the second ascended one.

Wait, no. You can simply infuse/attune one and have 2 of the same ascended trinkets.

I log on to my jeweler whenever I need to craft a Gift of Metal or run out of space for gold and silver ore.
