a very simple idea for gvg support

a public bulletin board.

you open it up, it has a list of [person.0987 - obsidian sanctum - 15s - 7pm pst] and you can click on each one to see a more detailed view. that's it.

mmmm what about an in game bulletine board for all things with subsections

That's a really nice idea. They could even monetize it by having instanced GVG maps where people can watch and to gain access to the map they have to buy or earn tickets. Tickets are gemstore-bought or dropped all over WvW. Then the winner of the match would receive the pot of the tickets and can be distributed to the competitors. The ticket earnings can only be exchanged for in-game stuff like ascended food, legendary offerings, guild decoration tokens, skirmish tickets, etc. but mostly rewards that have some use for WvW.

that sounds cool too. I mean, its sort of a glorified lfg. if they could make it work somehow, such as incentives like that... maybe.

hmm another possibility is to have the option of a gold entry fee for all players, able to be set by the poster.
