Equipped Item disappeared from inventory. Help needed!!

I completed one of my the pieces for my first set of ascended gear in-game, only to have it disappear out of my inventory at the last moment. It was an transmutated 'Yassith's Breeches' into 'Exalted Pants of a Necromancer'.

Is there anyway I can recover my lost item?! Because it was quite an effort both gold-wise and time-wise to craft it as a new player. I play from India, on a NA-server, and this issue happened at around 22:00-23:00 IST.

Any help in this matter is highly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

It's likely in your Equipment Storage.

I checked all the tabs in my equipment storage section. The item's no show. There's a skin under the wardrobe section, but that's about it. I can see my other exotic gear in the equipment tab, but just not the ascended one T.T

did you happen to have your bank open at all while trying to equip it? I know I've accidentally put something in the bank instead of equipping before

Be careful that ascended gear can be accidentally sold to merchants if you leave it outside of your safe bag.
