New maps are brought up all the time and there are numerous threads about pros/cons and design. One concern that is brought up regularly is people not liking a new one and then that's all we get since maps take so long. What I am throwing into the suggestion ring is a tie into the living world seasons. Add a fifth map that is a copy of the living world map currently out minus events. Existing NPCs could even stay to add more travel risk. Leave in gathering nodes that exist in PvE map. On that map add in wall less objectives that don't rank up in the middle of vet mobs and/or points that are converted to roped camps with veterans and a lord guarding a flag. These capture points would be a low level PPT tick since they can't be ranked up. Add a boon mechanic if a side holds all the objectives that is similar or a version of bloodlust. Add in three spawn points for the sides and done. When a new map is released for living story, sub it in with same kind of flow and we have a more constantly changing map that is a low point bonus map for people to fight on. Design work is all re-use from what is designed for living story with the additional adds. Players have new places to fight, there is a change for WvWers everytime a new living world is released and assets are re-used. Plus WvWers can then also enjoy the environments that are created for PvErs and find new ways to kill each other off. Plus there is probably already enough open spaces on the LW maps that if people wanted to GvG or duel they would have a map more designed for that. This idea doesn't impact existing maps for people and allows choices in going there or not but still retains their existing favorite hunting grounds.Thoughts?
