Does Double Standards work when it's not your own banners?

I always just assumed the trait Double Standards in Discipline only worked when you apply the banners yourself.

I couldn't find confirmation so I'm asking here, does the trait work when someone else applies the banners? And is it worth taking when you're not the banneslave, but there is a bannerslave in the group?

I don't think You can have the same banner buff twice, or any profession-unique buff like Spotter.With multiple Warriors in groups, they have 'discussed' (for a lack of a better word) who takes which banner since Vanilla.I assume it had been tested very early on.

Double standards works on any banner effect, not just yours. Banners of course do not stack.
