Why does GW2 stop downloading after it gets to a certain point?

I had windows 7 home and GW2 downloaded really good with no trouble but I had gotten a new pc for Christmas with windows 10 home it starts downloading and begins to become sluggish during the download. It gets 35% and it stops and goes and sometimes it just stays at this percentage all day with little spurts or nothing at all. I had my internet checked and it is good and I have no idea what else to do now except play the game as is and I had Heart of Thorns along with Path of Fire and I really would hate to buy again and it don't download right.

There's something happening that's causing this problem.

It's unclear what the exact reason is but a number of people have had success with the various solutions posted in the various other threads on this issue.

If those solutions work for you, I would definitely post that it did as it will help ANet troubleshoot on their end.

If the solutions don't work, I would definitely send in a ticket to ANet and state what you've tried either in the initial ticket or in a follow up one.
