Effect LOD won't stay turned off.

Sorry if this has been posted before, I didn't find anything matching it with the search option.

As the title says, my Effect LOD keeps turning itself back on every time I restart the game.Have tested several times. Happens on all my characters, too. It doesn't happen when I change character/zone/game mode, but does happen consistently when I restart the client.All other graphical options remain as I have set them (using the highest preset, with shadows to ultra.)

Any ideas? Or do I have to just disable Effect LOD every time I start the client up.

EDIT: Nevermind, eventually found my local.dat, killed it and started over. Working perfectly now.
