two person mount/interaction

Hello! This is quite an innocent suggestion since the passing of valentines I feel like maybe for a future patch allow players to join onto other player mounts as a fun interaction option. This was mainly inspired by the game sky where players can hold hands (tho I think that would be weird on gw2) so mounts I think would be the best interaction option ;D ! I just think it would be cute and encourage people to interact n’ socialise more. Thank you and hope you guys like this idea!

I just picture a hydra mount when I read this lol. So one moves the mount, another fires the meteor showers, and then the other one says okay guys dragon breath now come on guys you can do it! Then when all three players try to move at once it does the whole charging thing they do lol.

This would result in damage to the company itself. Let's think a little! If there are mounts for two people, why would I need to buy the expansion if I can mount the other's mount? People, in a way, will not have as much desire to buy the expansion as before. Although the expansion is not just about "mounts", but like it or not, it would affect the decision of many people.

There might be also some technical issues: for example if the driver is very tall and the passenger is short, the second one could be half "inside" the mount (like, without legs...). There are many players complaining about clipping effects with skins, I imagine it would be even worse for mounts.Eloc's idea is interesting though. It would add a meaning for the warclaw also in PvE.

I would really like to have an option to pick up another player on my mount. We get to this wish at least once per week, when I do content with a friend of mine and realize he does not have access to the correct mounts. In many cases I just have to use portals or figure out an alternative way.

Taking people on a flight with my Griffon sounds also fun.

It does not have to be a permanent thing. They want to sell mount-skins and everyone should get their own mounts sooner or later. They could give us a debuff upon dismount. We have to wait ... 10 minutes (?) before we can pick up another player. Or penalize both. If you pick up another player, you exceed the stamina of the mount to its limits. Once you dismount, the creature has to recover ... 10 minutes (?) before it can be used again.

We could even go a little further and also limit the time spend on the mount together. As suggested above, taking two instead of one player drains the stamina of the mount. So you can spend max. ... 5 minutes (?) on a mount together, then you dismount and cannot use mounts for another 10 minutes (?).

It would be an option only for certain moments, but it would also promote the idea of "getting your own mount."

The visuals might be the worst problem. The easiest option would be something like a saddle-bag, large enough to fit a Norn/Charr inside. It does not have to be ON the saddle. The mounts are strong, we could pull the booth/bag on a rope behind us. Similar to equipping the kite-novelties while mounted, which already works. Just a kite/ballon in the shape of a booth/basket. It does not have to show the carried players skins or look at all.

For a starting-procedure, we could use the shared-instance mechanic with the agree/ignore option. If agreed, we could watch a small cutscene where the carried-player enters the booth/basket. Mechanic wise, same as using a vista = invulnerable until the cutscene is finished. It would definitely delay the entire procedure of mounting up, so players would rather get their own mount before using this option.

If you only want to sit on a mount with someone else, e. g. for Valentine's Day. Why not make another chair with a mount skin and allow two players to sit on it?

So what if we could earn or craft a rental mount station? Our friends could keep kinda of up, and perhaps get addicted to mounts enough that they get the expansion. Got a returning friend with just the base game, he hasn't been taking my word for it that mounts are the bomb.
