LFG [NA] [TC] (Pref. PVE/WvW) Looking to get back into the game I fell in love with.

I am an MMO veteran that is looking for a guild or more to do general content with. My interests are PVE and WvW, but I am willing to learn and go beyond that. Even though my account is as old as the game, I never really learned enough about it until about two years ago, and that is still an ongoing process. I currently have two level 80 characters, and I'm still only midway through the Path of Fire story (I got distracted with every other shiny thing but I swear I'm going to finish it soon).

I've only ever played this game by myself (with the exception of a couple friends) and I decided to put an end to that recently, seeing as I will be having far more free time after October. Below I will list some important things I'm either looking for or feel the need to share:

Schedule (EST Timezone): Currently I work from 1:30pm to 8:15pm on weekdays. I wake up at around 7:30am and head to bed at either midnight or 2am. The work part will not exist after October. If something is planned or an emergency comes up, I always inform people the best I can, but for the most part this is very solid.

Preferences: Discord is a big deal for me. I am able to use voice chat and I prefer to do so. I also really enjoy doing community created events. One thing I am also looking for that isn't a major deal breaker is roleplay (I'm actually working on a tabletop RPG project right now), but I'm unsure as to how many guilds actually do this, so it's not the forefront of my search right this minute.

"Skillsets": Writing and number crunching seem to be my best abilities. Aside from that, if I don't know how something works I'm usually very quick to figure it out. I used to be a hardcore player of a few other titles, so it's a bit easier for me to understand how to build a character for a specific role without having to do much homework.

I'm very flexible and can play any kind of character.

It sounds like you might like my little home. We're called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a small, casual/semi-casual yet social, 18+, PvE family on Tarnished Coast. We have dabbled with RP in the past, but that isn't a focus right now, although we would like to bring it back someday. As long as you're on a NA-based server, you'll be able to tag along with us in our adventures. We don't do any serious participation in WvsW. We love to help new and returning players get back on their feet. We have a mix of scheduled events and random things during the week according to what folks want to do. Our current peak time tends to be in the mid-late evening EST (UTC-5), starting around reset, but we have a few others who are around from various time zones as well.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it's dungeons/Fractals, builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we'll have fun regardless.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you'll be away, and all is well.

We do not demand 100% representation.It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family.We are very LGBTQ+ affirmative and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. toward anyone regardless of nationality, race, religious beliefs, gender identity or sexuality. Anyone violating that policy is subject to immediate removal, no questions asked.

We also have a Discord, where everyone is expected to use the text channels to some degree, but the voice channels are never required.

In order to maintain our "quality vs. quantity" aspect and help build the family-like atmosphere of the guild, we require an application. This application asks only for basic information to help us try to organize things to fit around everyone's schedules and takes just a few minutes.
