Whats some funs things to do outside the Zergs?I was just a little bored last night from the zerg runs. But I couldnt figure out something to do outside the zergs for fun.

I tried building defend to defend SMC. But that was a disaster after main zerg left map for boarderlands and enemy zerg took SMC in minutes.

I cant figure out what else there is to do in WvW.

There are a few things you can do, but unless dueling is your thing most require the help of others when roaming.

  1. Scout the Zerg. This is my personal favourite, where you simply tail a big enemy group and take down stragglers in the back. Once they go for an objective, or commander asks, you can give a scout report.
  2. Look for crosses. Open your map, and see what objectives got the white swords on them. Once you get there, chances are you won't be the first responder and 50% of the time you and whoever else is there can fend off the attackers. It's alot of fun.
  3. Help Commanders. If a commander is on your map on a specific side/corner, you can capture the camps there in order to starve enemy supply, and run ahead of tag to take out sentries that would otherwise reveal the group. It might not feel as much, but trust me it's appreciated.
  4. Just ask! Something as simple as asking "Anyone need help somewhere?" in team-chat can be enough to get a party invite, find out where the action is and keep you occupied for an evening.
  5. Havoc. You have 4 other friends who enjoy WvW? Take down t3 structures, find equal fights and help out whoever is tagged on the map.
  6. Supply Runner. Basically you protect camps and towers in your corner of the map while escorting dolyaks ensuring all structures get upgraded to tier 3. It's a thankless job, and a boring one, but sometimes it will net you alot of hectic action especially if others are doing the same.
  7. Vanguard. When an enemy zerg attacks a keep or a t3 structure, you go there and try to take down as many opponents as possible 1 by 1, exploiting every tactic available to you. This is alot of fun, and helps everyone else who comes to defend it.
  8. Be the Zerg! Get your own commander tag, get a reputation and do things your way. It might be hard to get followers at first, but persistency is key.

These are just a few roles you can fill, but you can do literally anything you want and contribute in whatever way you sed fit. I recommend using ts or discord just for listening purposes, as it will improve your overall experience.

Right now WvW mode is struggling even in prime time, at least in my matchups so keep that in mind, even roamers and havoc are reading the maps and chasing the squad fights lately because that might be their window. If things pick up again for WvW and you want to float around more off the zerg, pick up supply and run around getting nodes and hit up whatever you run into.

Roam and defeat players, then use your musical instruments to play the following songs over their dead bodies:NOTE: use a macro if you are going to play hard music.

  • "la cucaracha"
  • "Funeral march"
  • "Super Mario death song"
  • "Taps"

Apparently, what drives them crazy is "La cucaracha", "and "taps."For some reason, they can't stand those songs and rage PM immediately.Just laugh and go on to your next victim...Well, at least that is what I do for fun when I am not in a serg.
