can free to play accounts use waypoint unlock box?

Hi Team,

I bought a waypoint unlock box for my fbrother,. He's still in the free to play account.But he's unable to use the waypoint unlock box. Does he need to buy the expansion or does he need a level 80 first?

There are certain items on the gem store that free players cannot purchase and/or use, like gliders or mount skins. Have your brother check on his own account whether the Waypoint Unlock Box is available for purchase in the gem store, at all. If he is unable to buy it on his own, he won't be able to use gifted versions of it either.If it is available to him, he might need to get to level 80, as you said. Although, I don't think there is a level 80 restriction on this item.

Make sure your brother knows it only works in Core Tyria, and only works for one character. Whichever character opened the gift.

As a ftp he only have core tyria tho.

Good point. He may have opened it on one character, and tried to use Waypoints on another, though. It's not an Account unlock.
