malign infusion question

Recommended Posts

Either fractal, or raids. Raid infusion is a rare drop from gorseval, but can also be bought for magnetite shards. It costs 1000 magnetite shards (weekly cap is 150, although you can obtain more by selling miniatures if you'll happen to get them). You can also farm gold and simply buy them off TP - Malign is at the moment at around 80g buy 99g sell order.

Having people ask where to get +5/9s always sets off alarm bells for me. If you have to ask where to get things like +5/9s, you are likely new enough to the game that these infusions make no sense for you to get (unless you want to credit card warrior your way to these).

+5/9 infusions are not needed for ANY content. They are literally the last thing you get for your builds when you have everything else and feel like burning gold/resources.

Their impact will be minimal (far less than 10 minutes of golem practice for example) for performance. At the cost of a full set of +5/9s you are far better off getting 2 or 3 additional sets of full acsended gear for other characters or roles for you character. Most builds on build sites will often list these infusions for min maxers, but all of those builds work perfectly fine without these infusions.

well i already have 2 set of ascended equipment and +9 infusion for all those set. but i just recently get back to GW2, like to know the efficient way to get +5/9 or if its still hard to get as before.

It's pretty much just as expensive with cost per infusions being around 70-100 gold a piece for a stat gain of 5 (putting a full set of infusions at around 1,080+ gold with all 18 infusions slots filled). That is a bit down from 100-150 gold per infusion in the past (which put a full set close to 3k gold), but is still by far the most expensive, least effective upgrade you can get for fractals.

For raids, the alternative +5 stat WvW infusions https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mighty_WvW_Infusion are way cheaper, if one absolutely wants those 80-90 additional stats. While the inferior +4 stat infusions for 5 Laurels should be avoided, since the 125 Badges of Honor for the +5 infusion are worth the cost (and even PvE only players should have enough BoH from achievement rewards).

The title of your post suggests that you are trying to get 5/9 condition damage agony infusions. There's literally zero reason to get these, as you won't be using them in fractals (so the +9 AR is useless). If you are looking for these infusions for raids, consider WvW infusions, as said above.

so for the +5 is really just for raid, no need for fractal then. thx

You can use it in fractals condi damage however is worse there then power since fight last so short.

Which makes them useful for raids, but significantly less useful for fractals.

Yes but the whole topic is about specificaly ...malign infusion question.... hence why people said you wont need the +9 agony on those so go for wvw one instead.
