Help me unlock mounts

I have purchased mounts from the store and I have the 2 expansions and I still have a LOCK symbol over my mounts. Can someone explain to me how to unlock them?

You didn't purchase mounts from the store. You purchased mount skins from the store. In order to use them you have to unlock the mounts in game. Different mounts are unlocked differently.

The easiest mount to unlock is the raptor. That comes from playing through the first story of path of fire. If you're not level 80 yet, and you're on a US server I can help run you through the story.

Other mounts require more play time. For example, the springer, the second mount you get, requires you to train the raptor's masteries up so you unlock the canyon jumping mastery and then you can get the Springer. Each mount is a process.

Ah, gotcha. Well that sucks! GRRRR! I was hoping to have a mount to use on a newly created character. I thought that it would unlock mounts on my account. I guess I was wrong.

No, I'm not level 80 yet. Is that a requirement?

Yes. You must be level 80 and start the Path of Fire story. You will unlock the Raptor in the first mission. You then have to unlock the other mounts (Springer, Skimmer and Jackal) in the surrounding maps. Roller Beetle, Skyscale and Griffon are different as they need collections to unlock.

Once they are unlocked any character on your account can use them regardless of level.

You obtain the first mount - raptor - in Crystal Oasis in the Path of Fire expansion. That is level 80 territory. It might be possible (I'm not certain) to get there before 80 by using Teleport to a Friend to a level 80 person, maybe a friend or guildmate, in Crystal Oasis, who could escort you through the content steps to acquire the mount.
