Berserker: Main hand torch?

I was in the silverwastes when I realized that there were Seraphs who were holding TWO torches.

Then I came to a thought: Why can’t Berserker do the same?

If we think about it, Berserker lacks a true main hand melee Condi weapon, and it’s not impossible to allow a specialization to allow for dual wielding their new weapon (See Spellbreaker).

Two things.

Second, Berserker is either Power or Condi as a traitline, with the specialization weapon being Condi. Your MH Condi weapon would be sword, which is itself a hybrid weapon that can do either Power or Condi depending on how you build. Most players spec Condi when they run MH Sword as it is the only option for MH Condi for Warrior. OH Sword is also a hybrid weapon, but is outclassed by Torch for Condi, and outclassed by OH Axe for Power.

  • 2 weeks later...

Players can also dual-wield torches in the Dry Top mining cave, btw.

But yes, I agree.. In fact I believe that all professions that only get a one-handed weapon as their elite specialisation (especially off-hand) should be able to wield it in both hands for fairness compared to 2H weapons, since they get less skills overall.

And once you're in Berserk mode, you're going to do similar condi damage with the F1 skill on any weapon physical or not.

My Warrior still does okay with it but she's geared with Rampager and not Sinister, unlike most.

Any tweaks would need to be to core condi in Arms and on OH sword.

Zerker condi is sword/torch + longbow. Sword MH and Longbow are your only options on MH/2H unless they change things. Also, Flaming Flurry is a better F1 for condi.

Yes, many games allow you to dual-wield shields.
