The game crashed about 2 or 3 times/day before the patch, but with the new patch it's impossible to play, it crashes after 2 or 3 minutes, and I tried everything, low graphics, repair client... Wasn't having any problems during Wintersday this year or any festivals in previous years. Currently on Mac i7 processor/8gb ram/Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB. It seems to occur whenever there are 7 or more character models and/or a commander/catmander, including NPCs, within 6000 range units of my character. Adjusting graphics settings has no effect on this issue. 15 minutes ago, I checked the minimum system requirements on the advice of a in-game friend and found that the minimum required graphics card is an Intel HD 3000, where I'm using an Intel HD 630, which was the factory standard for Mac laptops as of June 2017, when I bought my computer. I had no issues on any graphics setting prior to the Wintersday 2019 patch update. If the graphics card is indeed the cause of this problem, I have to say I'm rather angry with Arena.net for changing this on us without any notification, especially because it is not possible to upgrade individual components on a Mac laptop; if you want 1 component upgraded, you have to buy a whole new computer. I've tried all the regular fixes (repair, reinstall, lower settings) but no fix. it started happening to me since Wintersday on occasion but since todays update it happens within seconds of logging on. It seems that if I turn the Shaders setting to the lowest then it lasts longer but still crashes after a few minutes. really hoping this is sorted soon so we can get back to doing what we love. I checked with James and he did ship the diagnostics today that he mentioned on January 6. It crashes within seconds of logging in to any character, regardless of machine, even after confirming that video is set to best performance. I try to hit up ETB, and nothing happens, just an eternal loading screen. Had no problems yesterday, so something in latest patch has broken something.
