    Pfft peasant food.

Only the finest boil-in-a-bag delicacies touch these lips. (Seriously, look up sous vide. It's amazing what a French name can do)

It is NEVER worth losing power on a dps specialist with invulnerables. Your statement must be quantified.

It's better optimization to get your toughness from food since the power+toughness options are kitten. If you have any cavalier or marauder pieces, this food lets you drop them for berserker so you get the power back + free precision/vit/durations etc. I use it on all my dps builds and usually still top the meter by a large margin.

Even on a fully buffed berserkers/scholars spb the effective power difference is 8749 (100/70 stat) vs 8723 (45 stat), a 0.3% increase in damage output vs 3% longer durations+90 free defensive stats+healing power. Those extra stats allow you to stay in melee range for another few seconds to squeeze out more hits, which over the course of a fight results in a net damage+survivability increase.

    See, here's the fing.
You're treating a team burst build like it's for dueling.
    Healing power?
    Another few seconds?

You should be killing Right Meow, six seconds of glory, trail of bodies behind you.

You really think that 0.3% more damage, in a perfect setup where you have 100% uptime on everything, is going to make a difference in who you do or do not down? We're talking about turning a 15,000 hit into a 15,045 hit. That's how little the damage increase is under perfect conditions.

Personally, i'll take the free stats and land an extra hit every time i'm in melee range lol

You don't factor damage modifiers in your maff, only baseline?
I'll remind you that your stance so far has been trading power in for 90 toughness is a game changer..

Uh..... how many baseline 15k hits are you doing? Gw2power gives the average damage output between sets of stats, if it's saying there's a 0.3% difference that's probably right on target for what to expect over the course of a fight under ideal conditions.

You won't be crit capped on spb either, so the 45 precision weighs almost as heavily as power. In any scenario, 0.3% damage isn't worth losing 235 Stat points for.

Spherified peppercorn oyster soup is the BiS food for any damage dealer. It should even draw ahead in damage for classes that apply conditions like necro, guard, scrapper, ele, etc.

Yeah we fight "under ideal conditions" lots don't we? Pretty much like hitting a target golem.

You're the one focusing on warrior, I get grossed out every time I've ever brought mine into WvW.

Exactly my point, it's a 0.3% increase under ideal conditions. Which is never the case in wvw. That extra 55 power isn't doing kitten lol

I focused on warrior because it doesn't apply any conditions, any class that does gets an even larger boost.

Math don't lie, all stat food will outperform 2 stat food for any dps build.

Maybe dl arcdps and compare fb healing to every other healer? It's not even close. Why not play to the class strengths instead?

Once you learn the recipes the ascended food isn't too expensive to make unless you're buying the Cultivated ingredient from the trader for like 40s. I usually drop Peppercorn Oyster Soup a couple of times depending on how long I get to play and I'll adjust some stats around if I eat food dropped by someone else. Usually someone or a squad will drop a lineup of the usual stuff if you see the tag hanging at the keep for awhile.

Ya that's why I buy them. If you're not crafting or anything then you should have enough gold to just buy it all on the trader.
