So how are experience boosters supposed to work anyway.

So I'm running around in Bjora with a celebration booster, food, etc on to try to speed up the process of getting my masteries leveled.

But when I kill something the numbers come up something like 1303 / 301 exp.

Is the first number the amount awarded for the kill and the second the bonus? If so that doesn't seem right given my boost total is well over 100%

I guess you could check with a non boosted toon does, perhaps harvest a node with each.

No, the second is a different kind of bonus exp. For example, a Bandit is worth 100 exp, but this particular bandit has not been killed for days. So killing that bandit will grant you 100 exp, plus bonus exp depending on how long this bandit had stayed alive.

In your kill, the 1303 exp you received already included that booster's bonus exp.

In the beginning...there was Tarnished Coast...

  • OK, thanks.
