Put Mount skins to Black Lion Statuette vendor

So we can buy them. it should work like other gem stuff.

Just asking, will Anet put the Black Lion Exclusive Mount Selection into the vendor like other random BTC stuff in the future?

Inb4 they become the next 1k statuettes for a mount skin hahaha. That wintersday collection pricing rofl. Which actually means it should be about 2.5k statuettes for 1 skin. Because that whole collection ~350g. Meanwhile a 2k gem mount is 700-800g . You do the math :d . You would just regret and get angry if that were the case.

It would be fair with 60 like all the BLC drop.

This suggestion would cut a significant amount of money from their margins. Why would Anet do that?

    Would it though?

They already put many of the 2k gem mount skins into black lion chests so players can choose between buying them directly or gambling with keys. But also you can only get statuettes from black lion chests, meaning you have to use keys to get them. 25 keys costs 2,100 gems and you'd be very lucky to get 60 statuettes from 25 keys, so even if they charge "only" 60 statuettes for them it's likely some players would have to spend more on keys to get a skin that way than they would if they bought it directly.

Admittedly I don't know how much impact the other items in the chests would have if you want to compare gold costs, I don't have time to try and work out an average right now. But if you just look at gem purchases buying a mount skin directly is still likely to be the cheaper option.

Maybe more importantly however they've already included the Black Lion Exclusive Mount Selection as one of the rare drops from a previous chest and there's no reason to think it won't later be made available from the statuette vendor like most those items, so this might be a decision that's already been made.

  • I do hope they put the non top price mounts there as well.
