Minstrel Soulbeast?

Any experience trying to use minstrel gear for a bruiser SB in WvW etc? any successes? worth the effort of gearing up with full ascended stuffs?

I guess if it doenst work I can chuck it on a scrapper alt for lulz

I would not recommend running minstrel soulbeast in WVW. Minstrel is typically used on heal scrapper currently due to boon output from "Purity of Purpose". That may change after the balance patch however as the healing output is going to be cut down severely so scrappers will mainly be cleansing.

Currently the best use of soulbeast in a group environment is stanceshare with Greatsword which hits 5 with maul or slightly less optimal non-projectile weapons such as sword+axe offhand. Warhorn offhand is semi-pointless with heralds in the group. The other weapons are projectile and/or condi (or both condi+projectile): dagger, torch, shortbow , axe. Due to the prelavence of scrappers (with electrowhirl, defense field, etc), firebrands (reflect bubble , shield of absorption), hammer revenants (field of the mists), and winds of disenchantment from spellbreakers, and even staff weavers (magnetic aura) or tempests (magnetic aura, "aftershock!") you really don't want to be relying on projectiles.
