Bjora: Where is Koda Trial "Koda be praised/Plant Banners ..."?

When you stomp the corpses and the concentric circles go outwards, for a very, VERY brief time, a banner flies down and sticks into the ground where the corpse was. Kind of like a WvW/PvP finisher. It disappears almost completely.

I've stopped trying to chase this mastery point. I only need 1 more to max out my mastery lvl and I'd rather do the light puzzles. It will take time, but I'd rather be doing puzzles than standing around doing nothing for 2 hours waiting for a finicky event to spawn.

I've completed this on two accounts but from doing that the spawn rate of the trials seems very skewed? Like for some reason the trial where you rescue the frozen scouts seems to have become extremely rare. Might be getting that impression because the non-trial version got disabled since that was breaking ...

What they should've done is set a time limit and disassociate the primer success trigger from the state of the mobs. In other words, filling the bar in the time limit should count, and killing the mobs shouldn't affect it counting or not.

The point of the primer is to fill the bar by releasing the essences and "plant the banners" within the time limit, if we do that, and we get a MESSAGE FROM THE GAME SAYING THE TRIAL IS PREPARED, regardless of whether or not there is one mob left standing (which is the trigger for the success of the EVENT itself), we should get credit.

If so, then this is really unfair, badly designed and infuriating. The event itself is rare to start with. I've been playing Bjora Marches for at least 6 hours straight for three days and I've only had this event spawn six times, the other ones, I've done three times over.

I got mine from a Fallen patrol. So no, it isn't only the Svanir patrol that grants you the achievement. If you didn't get it, it was either bugged for you, or the last mob was killed before the bar filled after all.

So far I did this from the wiki with no luck.

Destabilize the ChampionsTrial Primer: Use unstable essence to defeat the champion.Appears on defeat the champion type of event like Event boss (tango icon).png[Group Event] Defeat the Champion Fallen Leopard Shaman (80). In Aberrant Forest for example.Requirements: Players have to kill unstable essences and use the object they drop by throwing them on the champion.

Im guessing its a bug. It seems pretty lame to me so far. Im left feeling that either the descriptions are lacking or the events dont give credit properly or the wiki is wrong. All I know for sure is its not working and Im not interested in trying over and over without a reason to think it will work.

I saw this event several times, but was never lucky enough to stomp the corpses (or enough of them). Also all in this forrest near that raven door to the cave. Hope to get it soon.

You kill essences throw the destabilizing things they drop at the champ to you fill the bar. Then you kill the champ like normal after filling the bar. No that one isn't bugged. Plant banners is explained 5 times in the thread so your just skipping to the end like others. And again these need to have the trial icon on map linked to them not just kill the champ or patrol

Tried camping the general area till an event pops and do everything even things not described on the wiki. Im going by the wiki mostly since the thread seems to say the same thing in a less organized fashion, but I have also read this post and others. Not sure what to say other than its not very fun.

I just wana get another MP so I can get shards again on LW5 maps so it doesn't feel like a waste of time to be on Bjora and no way Im doing the meta 20+ times for one without getting shards or anything for XP LOL.

Just went through the frustration of roaming Bjora for two hours waiting for this to spawn and not getting credit because there were not enough Svanir in the patrol to get to in time to fulfill the stomping requirement.

The event achievement works off of both patrols in the episode 1 part of the map. The Svanir patrol starting at the eastern meta reward area (Asgeir's Legacy) as well as the Fallen Patrol in the Aberrant Forest.

In order to get credit for the achievements, following things must be met:

• enough enemies must have been stomped/finished before the regular event ends
• you need to have contribution on killing at least 1 enemy from the patrol (only stomping will NOT net the achievement)
• the achievements pops immediately after the base event ends, the champion afterwards is unrelated to this achievement
• it has to be the up-scaled Kodan trial, the base event alone will not suffice

Suffice to say, it is very annoying to get. I had following things happen to me (without credit):

• the base even ended without enough enemies having been stomped (this is very easy to happen since the enemies are very squishy, few and if other players are nearby they will likely kill every enemy before enough have been stomped)
• enough enemies stomped, but had no credit on killing an enemy (I was hastily trying to stomp as many as I could before the last enemy died, which got finished by a necromancers pets because he killed all the enemies at once without stomping)

I did this at [&BCgMAAA=]. Solo, it is a little easier at this location: fewer ambient mobs hanging around to get pulled in, easier to string the event-specific target mobs out and kill them one or two at a time in a controlled fashion, to insure you "stomp" essences and fill the "trial preparation" progress bar before ending the event.

Two successive trial event spawns, both "worked", no bug(s) were evident. Perhaps they have fixed the bug (server-side patch of some sort?), perhaps I just got lucky.

No its still bugged/Buggy. I have been doing this and every other even w the correct icon as they pop on the map. I have everything for koda be praised completed other then "Plant Banners" I HAVE killed done the patrol event at [&BCgMAAA=] multiple times including stomping essence. Its just buggy kitten. Typical untested content released as finished content that Anet has always put out. I just wanted another MP to finish training the stuff for the new map, but to be honest this isnt worth it. This is a royal boring pain in the kitten that doesnt give much for a reward once completed. Thanks AGAIN Anet!!

At the big circle that sucks you in? That's not it. It's a champ and you throw destabilizing things at the champ then kill the champ. It's not something you can solo. Sometimes I see a koda trial group in lfg and you just go to them all as they spawn. They are not linked to other events on the map. They are random and only one per map or one per side maybe can be active at a time. If it's not fun then don't worry about it. There are 5 extra MP total. It's never fun when you stare at a map hoping for something to randomly appear

This is the only "doable" MP left that I see in the list. The others would require doing the meta like 30 times or do every light puzzle, etc. To be frank I don't want to do this map badly enough to do all that without getting anything for XP during it all (no shards for weeks/months) while trying to do those types of long achivements. I dont find doing a LONG list of time consuming busywork tasks just to unlock getting my XP rewards for the map to sound like time well spent. I will either get this to work soon or I will skip Bjora map. Which is fine, but it frustrates me. I also think Im not the only one who will end up skipping this map due to things like this, plus the map currency being almost worthless, and the fact that Drakkar doesnt offer much of anything beyond 30 min of pew pew pew.

In order to get credit for the challenge, you MUST MUST MST fill the bar by stomping the enemies BEFORE you kill the last enemy in the patrol. If you kill the last enemy in the patrol before filling the stomp bar, the patrol will continue long enough for you to stomp them, and then you will get the ability to summon the boss for the actual trial event, but it will not count for the achievement.

There has to be at least one enemy remaining before the bar is filled. If you kill everything and then stomp it doesn't count.

I will just wait till they fix it or skip the map I think. I have done the event multiple times, the stomping sounds the same as the other events which I was able to get credit for. The plant banners I guess is just buggy. Also I cannot control what other players do far as waiting to kill and Im sick of waiting around to do a cheese level event event over and over with no credit.

Got the achievement today (after patch if its relevant), in the east part of Bjora on this path/bridge to Aesgeirs Legacy. Stomped two or three enemies and stood inside one of that appearing circles, and probably enough stomped enemies.

Its fixed. I was able to get credit for planting banners without any issue today. Yay! I even saw an Anet person doing the event who I assume was testing it out.

BTW, before, you said that this was the last "doable" MP on the list - the light puzzles, while they do take some time, are actually really easy if you have the skyscale, and even if you don't, they shouldn't be much hassle. The "Lair" one (where the MP is) even lets you use mounts.

I only used the guides to find the start of some of them, otherwise they're pretty easy to spot. The whole thing reminded me of Prince of Persia a bit.

The "Lighting Bjora Marches" one is really, REALLY long and goes from one end of the map to the other, it's amazing.

I finally got it. Wiki says one of the spawn points is at the [Gates of Svanir poi] in the first half of the map. I parked myself there and waited till it appeared.

From my exp, there's always 1-2 patrol trial going during Drakkar's meta event. That's how I got mine.
