NImble Onslaught(Not Being Rewarded

Recommended Posts

The nimble onslaught achievement is not being rewarded upon completion of Drakkar, and the eligibility icon doesnt go away. I have 4 stacks left as of now, is there anyway this can get unlocked?

Its didnt get unlocked for the person in my party either. He has one stack. we both bot gold participation on the event as well.

@Jayden Reese.9542 said:I mean you actually killed it or just wp mid fight? I sometimes get eligibility at 1st when 100 percent which never do I get thru whole fight. The time I got it was it didn't show up at beginning of fight and after going thru 3rd gate it appeared and I easily got it. It still shows up even tho I have achieve I have never seen it stay which makes me think you left after first 20 percent and sat at wp. Put in ticket maybe

Missed your response sorry,

But no, i was there the moment the pre event started, from 100% to 0%, hit every single boss when they phased, and got gold for participation. Every. Single. Time. the amount of stacks i had left varied from 1-7 for four trys in a row.

On the fifth try i decided to try something, unlike -every- other time i did not take part in the pre event, sat with the achievement at 8 the entire time and did not do anything but make sure i did not get hit(including doing damage to Drakkar) until he got to 25% and then i started in on the event, killed the champion on that phase, came back stayed out of range of all his attacks(thankfully was able to max range DPS due to ele), finished with 4 points left with a gold and got the achievement.

Im not sure why id get the achievement on the event i did -nothing- compared to the time i was there from the start. My friend also did the same thing i did and got the achievement.

It seems me thats it either not tracking properly or something else is preventing participation.

I did the same as your last post, where I sat afk until he was at like 10%, finished the event with at least 6 stacks left and didn't get it awarded.

However, I did the meta (from the start) on another character later on, got hit and lost all my stacks, and was awarded the achievement at the end. I don't understand this.

Apparently there's a way to "cheat" a bit to get this achievement, but without exaggerating: if you just watch the fight for a very long time (for example on top of the pit, where you see the yellow icon of the achievement but you're out of range) and you just join the fray at 10%, even if you deal some damage, you won't get the achievement.

I got it when I loaded the map and the meta was already in progress. When I arrived, Drakkar was at 30-35%, I jumped in and just did my stuff (I had an elementalist, so I mainly healed ppl around, without going too close to the boss). So joining at 10% is not enough, but 30% it is (or even 25%, according to @Dante.1763 ). Probably it's before last cc phase.

I think the most foolproof way of cheesing this at the moment is to join right at the start, earn participation through the escort event and the main event up to one of the spirit boss events, then throw yourself off the arena inside the spirit boss zone and die. When you run back from the waypoint you should (currently!) reacquire eligibility and you can then watch from the "balcony" with good participation and having properly played your part through most of the encounter!

Clearly not "as intended" but at least it doesn't mean being afk for most of the fight!

Yea uhm..i wasnt trying to cheese it though thats the problem and reason i posted this thread. I did it the proper way 4 times and got nothing.

Ive noticed that it seems to pop in and out randomly. I had it appear at the start of one event, and then vanish on the first champion phase(7 stacks), made it through to the next one and then had it reappear with 8 stacks.

Starting to think this achievement really needs to get looked at for more than one problem.

OK, after further review, I think the achieve has been stealth fixed against the old exploits, rather than being bugged. I got the achieve yesterday on my third try. The first two times, I tried the old tricks. Didn't work. The final successful attempt...

  • I used my staff mirage, who is my most elusive character and has long range.
  • I was actively in the event from start to finish, from escorting Jhavi all the way through the end.
  • I did reasonable damage in every phase of the event.
  • In each phase as Drakkar came out of the wall, I quickly placed three clones to ping Drakkar constantly, while I moved back to avoid the stomps and AOE.
  • When Drakkar's head went down for the whirlwind phase, then I moved in and unloaded my heavy stuff until he went back into the wall.
  • I went through the second champ portal, to make sure I got credit for one.
  • I did NOT get downed. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but it might, so I was double careful.
  • I ended up finishing the event with four stacks left and got the achieve.

Hope that helps somebody.
