Blast from the Past

I've been trying to complete this story quest for days now, but every time it starts the cut scene to lower the cauldron, it glitches and kicks me off. I can't progress any further in the story line. I have played this instance numerous times. It's beginning to get old. :( Help?

Anyone have any new options? I've tried everything, even the 10 hour youtube video playing in the background. I'm desperate to get passed this.
