Profession Name: HavrounArmor class: It may choose its armor class, as armor classes mean nothing in the grand-scheme of things. Make it a neutral class in this regard so you can pick the one most aesthetically pleasing to you.Weapon type : Swords, Maces, Axes, Shields, Scepters, focus, Hammer, Staff (Its theme would be based on the spirits of the wild.)Strength: A heavy front-line, sustained brawler class that uses the power of the spirits as their champion to over-come their enemies..Effective way to fight: They shapeshift into the form of their choice to bolster themselves, making themselves become stronger via their blessings and empower their allies through moral boosting battle-cries and powerful blessings from their chosen spirit.Effect it has: Essentially a tank, focused around forcing engagements and controlling a fight with good cc,damage and sustain to make it able to wade into the thick of battle and deliver devastating attacks.

Lore behind the class: The norn having experienced the resurgence of their lost spirits have chosen to open their ways of shamanism to all who wish to par-take in the path. Teaching any who would willingly follow in the path of strength and honor, they have given methods to worship the spirits of the wild to all worthy of becoming their champion. The power of these spirits wash over you as you become more powerful and ascend, eventually giving you full connection to both tyria and the mists where you use the power of both alongside nature to become a force to be reckoned with. Individualistic and strong you push forward to carve your place in the world, to become legendary and heal the wounds left by the long wars we have waged with the dragons. You seek neither dominion or power, but to make amends for the damage caused by the catastrophic failures of the human gods, the ravenous hunger of the dragons and the hubris of the mortal races.

Unique effects: Non-norn races do not physically transform, but they do get a blessing similar to ursan's blessing from guild wars 1. Where the spirit of bear melds with your own and you become blessed with its might, the norn on the other hand will physically transform into a werebeast of their chosen spirit. Each spirit (trait-line) has unique roles to play and each form you choose (you only may have one) brings interesting mechanics forward to differentiate them from one another. With the norn having proved that even Minotaur has a spirit its easy to assume all animals do, this for Elite specs they could have anything.

First Elite spec : ScionLore : Having become aurenes champion you can embrace her power and become a crystalline dragon, an avatar of her power but not directly similar to the herald that revenants become. In this form you are more mobile and use fire and crystalline might alongside powerful roars to buff and de-buff/stun enemies, you gain the ability to shield your allies and even protect them from oncoming attacks. In this state you also gain the trait "Magical thirst" where you can with each basic attack consume an enemies boons to gain more power and return health to you. (If you use another Spirit form, with this traitline equipped you become a crystalline version of that form much like caithe became when she was blessed by aurene.)

Second Elite Spec : ChosenEmbrace the power of Tyria and become an Oakheart, this spec is focused around healing and fields in which your allies preform better. It also summons various forms of fauna to help it fight such as mushrooms (Yes the ones from HoT) And Chaak, these creatures live within you while you are in this form and come to aid their home and champion. As a chosen of Tyria you also gain the unique trait known as "Infectious Swarm" Which moves between allies causing them to steal life, and gain boons based on which state your choose to be within via the glyphs on your utility bar. It was well will infect enemies and cause various negative effects for them to deal with, You become a bastion for your team to rally upon but loose the ability to truly utilize the other spirits to their fullest potential. You are the truest healer, one who cares for the world so much that it has chosen by it.

(No clue for a third E-spec at this time.)

Thanks! I really like the norn, like a lot and originally I liked the idea of racial classes/racial elites and I was met with well... less than stellar views. However as I look at it now there is a way to make the origin race feel cool, while letting everyone use it. Cosmetics are name of the game and Im glad you'd like to play it if it ever happened, Id main this class so quick that its not even funny.

I've always wanted a shapeshifting class with cool depth and unique feels with it. While I had hoped the revenant had been that I feel this could be interesting due to the idea of it choosing its armor weight. So we don't have a disparity we have people choosing what gear they'd like to wear and how they'd like to look as they encounter the world and as such can really customize their character. With no two havrouns truly being exactly the same and all the races having access to it, while also respecting the norn lore I think it would be a homage to a lot guild wars 1 had to offer. I have ideas for the other races as well, I think them sharing their respective knowledge and skills would be a good way to move forward and add new classes while not being restricted AND it would add to the games unique flair. all the races are unique in their own ways, they should be flushed out but that doesn't mean we need to leave anyone behind.

So long as if you pick the originating race, and you get something cool for doing so its reward enough. A human havroun and my norn havroun would be identical in all but appearence and cosmetics; It would be fair and interesting as well. Could also be cool for roleplayers too!
