I have to disagree with you on GS 4. Its a good skill. Granted, you don't always need to use it, but it gives ranger a block on GS + an interupt/cc. I find it useful in pvp/wvw. That said, I would also say its not a skill you want to use generally; Rather, its a skill you should use situationally. That is, when you expect to be hit and could use an interupt or some cc. Bsically on GS you want to maul, bash, maul as often as you can DPS wise, the 3, 4 skills are only when you need the utility they offer.
