Question regarding slow uptime in fractals

Hello,I have a power chronomancer and i use the trait danger time. The problem is the boss never get slowed. The olny source i got is from f3 and is like 6s of slow every 38s. Should i switch time catches up and lose 10% shatter dmg for delayed reaction to get slow? I get 3s slow more at f3 , sword 4 , focus 4 and gravity well. Is it worth it or is a dps loss? Also should i switch focus with shield?

You should use Time Warp instead of Gravity Well, it will gain you damage (except for some specific fractas like mai trin for exampe). Use Time Warp on your burst with Cont split and on last phases of bosses before next mistlock... Time Warp will give you a huge slow uptime + free quickness for your phantasms (assuming you run domi build).Concerining time catches up, it depends. On bosses where there are many breakbars, you would rather go Delayed Reaction instead of Time Catches Up. Well this is the problem with pchrono underperforming in fractals: lack of slow.Ask your alacrene to provide some slow if possible. And no, don't switch focus with shield if you are playing dps !!! Maximum you can do you can switch focus with greatsword (nothing to do with slow uptimes) and play with bountiful blades, but meh.. It kinda works if boonstrip is vital (like last phase with mama CM, gs does wonders in low skill groups).

I’d recommend not bothering with danger time/slow because fractals is filled with too many mechanics which will screw over your slow uptime even if you tried.

i.e. delayed reactions has a 3s icd which is fantastic, slow on trash mobs is wasted, you frequently need to dps things that are not the boss, bosses phase and waste uptime, you only have 4 other ppl and none of them are too bothered about maximising just your dps, etc.

You’ll rarely ever get slow when you actually need it.

Ignoring slow does mean pchrono dps goes from top to supposedly ‘trash’ tier, but trying to use slow doesn’t net any much better results either.

Unless you run in a highly specialised static, keeping Time Catches Up, focus, gravity well, not using F3 for anything but cc, and possibly switching Danger Time to Improved Alacrity would do you better.

In the end, I’d go as far as to recommend not playing pchrono in fracs at all unless you’re too attached to the class for whatever reason (I just use mine to do fancy pulls and skips, except I’ve demoted mine back to core because it has a better dmg distribution).

Edit: there’s a chance your Time Warp will interfere with dedicated external sources of quickness (e.g. a quickbrand) if present.

U lose the minor dmg from gravity well and u get 12s of slow or 24s with cs. Nice man i will try this

Time Warp not only gives you the much needed slow, it is also a 10 man quickess. It is relevant in fractals, because fb can give quickness to 5 people and your phantasms don't get any unless you use time warp or use illusions traitline. TIme warp helps you not only with slow uptime, but enables you to ditch illusions for the newly buffed domnation !!! I'd recommend sticking to dueling, domi + chrono with Time Warp. And yes: if you ever do: never use Gravity well for damage, you could use it for CC if your group is really bad and lacks CC, otherwise run Time Warp, and abuse it as much as you can with mistlock cd resets.
