Please revert auto att dmg

Recommended Posts

Conditions are waaay too prevalent in ranked and imo it promotes lazy and unskilled gameplay. Condies have way more utilty and overall dmg than power now considering auto attacks and cc were nerfed, not to mention that you only really need 1 stat for condies to be effective and the rest can be defensive. I find power super underwhelming rn.

i think Power and condis are atm fine in pvp.

Yes, power damage is lower... but its Instant damage. Together with that, power damage cant be completely negated like condis through cleansing & resistance.(besides immunities, but those affect all)

With the removal of expertise, the damage of condis went down quite a bit.

Condi necro is tanky, but the damage it puts out is kind of pathetic. Maybe slightly too tanky, but it doesn't do well in team fights and doesn't have a lot of focus pressure.

Herald is tanky because of IL+Crystal Hibernation giving you effectively 6s on invuln every 30s.

Burn guard isn't tanky at all. Very low base hp, bunch of cleanses, but low protection uptime and problems gaining swiftness and movement speed without lynx runes.

mesmer... well just doing generic mesmer things. daze+distort+evade+block. Knowing when to attack shows how squishy they are, though its really hard with all the animation spam.

Currently most of the best classes are still power. Yes, you have to slot more condi cleanse because fights last longer, but condi is much easier to counter than power.

@Drennon.7190 said:Carrion + Dolyak runes. Enjoy pumping out tons of damage and never dying.

First time hearing this. What build plays it? I play sage amulet + mirage rune. Carrion and Sage are both hybrid amulets. Is this the same thing with marauder amulet + dolyak rune? Berserker amulet + dolyak rune? Maybe even berserker + resistance like power rev? maybe berserker + divinity like d/p thief? The meta is damaging amulet + defensive rune anyway.

By the way, conditions scale less with condition damage. Poison has like 0.06 coefficient lol. Confusion's DoT doesn't even scale with condition damage, it always does 10 damage per second flat.
