Based on the Victory or Death cinematic, the Cataclysm was basically ground sinking down. Though GW1 descriptions imply a large explosion and cloud of smoke (implying a nuke - which if so, well, the result is clear; using the Lost Scrolls atop of Kralkatorrik would be like setting off a nuke on his side; wouldn't do much I imagine since it isn't his unique weakness, but would no doubt be hella painful) that wouldn't be possible with how intact Orrian structures are in GW2; the visuals of the cinematic make much more sense. In of itself, that would imply trying to use such a spell on an Elder Dragon would do a) shove the Elder Dragon "down" (from the position of the caster) and nothing more, or b) shatter pieces of its skin into imploding in chunks.

However, a curious thing about the cinematic is that the cracks in the ground light up the same way the overflow of leylines do in the Season 1 and HoT finales. This implies that the Cataclysm messed with ley lines to cause the sinking of Orr (and this would be the "explosion" seen - not a literal explosion, but super bright magical ley lines glowing lights that were interpreted as an explosion from the shores of Kryta; followed by dust caused by the ground's sinking). So how would that affect an Elder Dragon? Well, if it requires ley lines, then the effect would be null - casting the spell while on Kralkatorrik's back in midair would fizzleout and do nothing. But if the spell is just a "magical overload" / "magical displacement", then rather than causing an implosion or shoving the ED, it would either cause the ED's magical insides to churn most painfully, or deplete them of energy causing slumber much like the end result of Flashpoint.

TL;DR

Five likely possibilities based on what exactly the Cataclysm was.

The spell doesn't have name, so the spell isn't "Cataclysm" or anything like that. The Lost Scroll is the device used to activate the spell.

Vizier Khilbron. And that's not actually being really technical. Besides, it was still the Lost Scrolls which enabled Vizier Khilbron to activate the spell that resulted in the Cataclysm. And not "a lost scroll", the Lost Scrolls. Proper noun, and plural.
