Making ingame money with art commissions

Hello!

I am crafting Exordium, and I am planning on taking digital art commissions in exchange of gold. So I create a piece and the customer send the gold via mail (guild bank trade is possible, too).

Does anybody know if this kind of deal does not break any of Anet's rules? I have tried to see their rules but I haven't got any clear answer. My common sense says it's fine, but I just want to be sure :)

The art commissions can, at least technically, be considered a real-world commodity, since you could in fact sell them for real-world money. Therefore there's a risk that it falls under real-money trading rules.

My rule of thumb is that any good or service offered outside the game in exchange for any good or service inside the game breaches the trading rules. Heck, there's even completely-within-game transactions that appear to breach Anet's rules.

@"Pandakunnkku.5029" - You can check out the Community Creations forum at https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/categories/community-creations and ask the artists who do commissions for gold if they got into trouble. Many expressed the same concerns. But the safest is probably to ask Support.
