Tick Siege

I haven't been playing WvW for very long. From time to time I hear reminders to tick siege. Noob question, what is meant by that?

siege has a despawn timer on it that last for 1 hour but if you get on the siege it reset the timer.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Siege_Decay_TimerAs mentioned there, this does apply only to siege weapons that were built by using a siege blueprint. If you have a siege weapon in your target , the despawn timer can be seen by hovering your mouse cursor over the small blue/white colored "tower Icon" right above the siege name. (But only when you have that siege actually in your target, just hovering mouse cursor over the siege will not show it). Structural siege weapons in objectives (Mortars, Cannons and Burning Oils) will never despawn.

Btw not all deployable siege tick down the same if I am not mistaken, I think it was rams or whatever that decay quicker? Can't remember but I know not all decay with the same timer.

Rams have like a 15 minute timer instead of the normal hour.
