Drizzlewood Coast losing all participation when map is closing

Recommended Posts

When the closing map comes up, and you select the option to change to a more populated map, your participation is reset to zero. Please retain participation at the level on the previous map. Players have no control over maps closing, so should not be activity-level penalised for shifting maps when that is the intention of the closing map notification.

i would say its working as intended, in theory a player could get to 150% participation where the periodic bouncing chests become exotic with better drops, change to a map thats just started and keep going in an endless loop to get a lot of better drops. same as changing any map it would reset if you clicked on a player in another instance and selected to join that one. id also say ignore the map closing notification, you have an hour from it popping to finish the meta and alot of the time there is more than enough people to finish, its even popped before on completely full maps, probably because another map has enough space to accomodate everyone and the servers just want to close one because it can.

The map wasn't populated though - people had left, and we were starting to lose bases we had taken. The meta was not going to be successful. It was annoying as it seemed to be an overflow map, as I couldn't get into the one that had a squad in lfg - that IP was full. I set up an lfg taxi trying to get people into what was, apparently an overflow map. We'd managed to cap 4 bases, that was the point at which people started leaving, and we started losing the bases. So no, there wasn't enough people to finish the meta.

You can't go into an "endless loop" of maps as there aren't that many maps. Plus, participation hits 0 just ahead of the final stage of the meta - when the final escorts start.
