Catching the kegs - Wayfarer Foothills Heart (Help Kevach maintain his lodge)

Something seems to be wrong here. I did this quest about a week or two with no trouble at all at catching the kegs. I just stood in the red circle and got the keg.Today I'm trying this for 15 minutes straight and can't catch a single keg.

Anyone has an idea what the reason could be?

It's a common bug that Volden no longer hits players with barrels, hence making the mini game impossible to finish. Your internet connection can somewhat affect the minigame, but what you need to do for the most part is to jump right before the barrel lands.

It's difficult, but you can usually catch it if you 'lead' the projectile slightly.

However, you should note that you can also complete the heart by doing things like the egg-gathering in the tunnel that happens as an event, which is MUCH faster and easier.

Thanks, I know that, but it has nothing to do with my catching skills. It's just a bug. I tried it on the same toon about an hour ago and I caught every keg getting thrown at me without any problems.Yesterday it was impossible for me (and other people trying) - leads to the assumption that there is something completely wrong with that quest.

Yes, it appears to be bugged. 2 of my characters were able to catch the kegs without problems. For the other 10+ characters, it was impossible to catch a single keg. When it works, you don’t even have to time the catches, you can just spam the key to catch and it works.

Was there a pattern to which toons were able to catch? For instance were they all the same race? I wonder if the size of the avatar simply makes it appear that you should be someplace you shouldn't.

Today I was using my Human Warrior and could not catch any keg until I turned my back to the NPC inside the red circle. It worked 90% of the times.

Its not really bugged in my experience, just finicky with where you stand. Dont be in the middle of the circle, be at the front.
