Update Coming to Drizzlewood Coast Meta

As we mentioned on last week's Guild Chat, we've been listening to your feedback about the meta and taking it into account. With that in mind, we want to let you know about an update coming to the game next Tuesday, August 11. After the update is released, the chests that spawn throughout the map at the end of the meta will all be relocated to Claw's Roost. Now you can reap all the same rewards in one convenient location rather than searching the map!

I'm glad to see this fix and hope this will help a lot. But I'm afraid it's not enough. The double meta is a big problem, the whole south meta is too short and fast, you have no time to do the events in the south, because once you are finished with escort east, you have to run to west to do escort there.

IMHO the only solution is making 2 meta's and 2 maps. Have more time for the north meta so it's not a rush rush rush, and give south the time to breath and people can choose which one they want to do.

But really happy with this fix atleast

I didn't mind the rush to the chests, but I'm sure I never got them all. This will allow some down time for inventory management, and assurance of not missing out on loot after a lengthy time commitment. Excellent change, thank you!

Will there still be as much time after the Claw dies before the map resets?

This is a step in the right direction but you should really consider also changing how the cache keepers work.Currently, there's a 15 minute chunk between the two halves that kills the pacing of the meta and requires you to go nuts looking at the map and figuring out where keepers are spawning.

Instead, can you make it so cache keepers in a region spawn when you capture that region, rather than having all of them crammed into the middle of the meta? This would feel way more organic, it wouldn't kill the pacing of the map, and it would still allow cache keeper achievements to continue working. Then after taking over Wolf's Crossing, it can just be a 2-3 minute delay before the north side begins rather than a 15 minute delay.

It also incentivizes progressing the map from the beginning rather than joining just before the south side finishes.

I never minded this part, not that I mind this change (I really appreciate the reaction to feedback! :) ), but I've never had enough cache keys to open all of the chests anyway so it did feel like I could just do whatever in that time and just open the chests I happened to pass by.

The bonus boss rushes in Dragonfall and the mid-point of this meta are way more stressful. You'd expect to relax after the big climactic boss, but instead you have to rush after the zerg, hoping you can keep up in order to get credit for all the bosses. Then you have to further hope that the zerg can get to them all in the timer (this map improved that a bit by at least randomizing the boss order), especially if you still need the achievement.

The chests at the end here were generic and don't have any sort of achievement or Mastery Point, so it's not really a big deal if you can only open a few.

One thing I heard mentioned in the guild chat was about how the community will learn how to do the meta faster. Splitting up the zerg over the zones in the Tribunes phase to do them all at once was one of the things suggested that we, the players, could do to improve our clearing speed. The thing is though, this will never happen as long as people are aiming for Memories of Otter. Everyone wants to be there for every Tribune kill. A change in how these Memories are awarded might be something you want to consider as well.

You don't need to be there kill the Tribune as they are in the chest and that stays for at least 5 minutes. You can be somewhere else then drop to loot the chest.

The best speed up would be the instant we take the 6th fort on the 1st half the "Dominion have retreated to the north" type thing. Give us our 6 boxes for the forts and cancel the minutes left before next troop evaluation and cancel all forts under attack and go right into the escorts to the bosses.

Great job listening to feedback and working acordingy, now if its possible to listen to other feedback like doing some CPR on forgoten dead content (raids, pvp, wvw, fractals, etc etc), instead of a one skill spam farming map, would be great.i would like to login with the prospect of having some fun and not being hit with boredom
