Error code 58

Recommended Posts

I am also currently experiencing this problem. Most of the time I couldn't go past the launcher, sometimes I would be able to enter the character select but still encounter another error. I'm also running out of options. It was working

It's either I get this in the launcher:Build: 105843Error Code: 58:11:5:535

Or this after trying to enter in the character screen:Code=7:11:3:202:101 or;Code=5:11:3:164:101

Hey guys, I experienced this problem too. I was playing the game, tabbed out and went to tab back in to find that I had been kicked. So closed everything, opened the launcher and got the same error code (58). I restarted my computer twice and tried to log in once again with no success. So instead I figured, hey, why not shut down my computer, sit on my phone for 5 mins then turn it back on. Well, for whatever reason this worked. I really hope your solution can be as easy as mine was. I didn't even reset my router or troubleshoot/look into my firewall settings, maybe I just got lucky. GL fellas!

Hello, just thought to give it a go here as well, and ask for help and some brainstorming on the subject matter, as i`ve been in Contact with Anet`s support team for the past week (and we couldn`t really come to a solution, with well my limited knowledge and experience in this technical area of expertise)

Did you manage to solve the problem you mentioned about your connection error codes by chance and how? i tried  putting  ports 80|443|6112 in firewall outbound and inbound rules, did port forwarding for all of them as well, shut down firewall and windows defender, rebooted PC and Modem (i`m connected with ethernet cable directly to ISP`s modem), even gone as far as reseting modem to its factory settings after port forwarding just didn`t seem to work out... ISP also assured me they aren`t blocking anything,  Anet is fairly certain that it is not something on their end, running game with VPN hasn`t helped either and of course i also did run a Gw2 repair on multiple occasions throughout the before mentioned shenanigans... in the end i even wiped, and i mean wiped clean with windows option that even cleans your drives and did a fresh windows installation in case i had some corrupt files/malware/something backlogging me. I mean i believe i did pretty much everything my limited knowledge on such subjects allows me to.
So once again i am just curious whether you managed to solve it, and if so, how. Or did it just resolve on its own. because i`ve read probably all of the forum threads pertaining this matter in the past week, and i`ve exhausted pretty much all of my options (have also been in contact with Anet support throughout the whole past week and we couldn`t find a solution)
I also didn`t change anything when the launcher error Code: 58:11:5:535 and Error Code=5:11:3:164:101 started happening... On Tuesday last week (before patch) error  Code=5:11:3:164:101 popped up, kicked me out of personal asuran story instance, and i`ve been unable to log in for 7 days now (or just got to log in after couple of error code58:11:5:535 launcher errors, only to get kicked out pretty much every time when i map swapped).
Though if i got in (say Silverwastes for example) i had no issues whatsoever playing the game as smoothly as if none of it ever happened.
If it also helps, say Overwatch, Guildwars (1) and Apex Legends (through Steam) work just fine, and haven`t had any connection issues while playing them

Greetings,

this issue sounds odd indeed taken by the statements of the invidual responds in this topic,

my only suggestion to this is for u guys to try a /flushdns and see if that helps / fixes the issue.

if it still continues to happen then yeah im not sure what much more can be done, it seems u did port forwarding and ur connection is fine, u could try reach out the isp and hear if they have any information in regards to the ports for gw2.

Hello,

Tried flushing dns couple of times in the past week, just forgot to mention it sorry. And it did not solve my error connections to the login server. As for ISP, never really had this happen to me in the past few years i`ve been with the current ISP so as ive contacted them in the past week, they haven`t changed anything, and  they don`t have any technical difficulties on their end either, nor are they blocking anything (Had the talk with their technical team and they said when i mentioned the required ports they aren`t blocking any).

Also thought to mention it, as the error popped up, i`ve been watching Twitch on other monintor and haven`t had it lag out, start loading or disconnect so i most certainly didn`t lose connection on my end. and as mentioned before, other online games (OW, Gw1, Apex) don`t have any server connection issues (can play them normally as always) so i`m really lost here :P

Might also take a break from reading up in the following few days due to getting busy irl, so apologies for late replies

Greetings,

Just giving my final feedback. Haven`t turned my PC or my modem off, nor did i reboot either since my posts above. Didn`t do anything on my end really, had windows updates off as well, but it seems to work now just fine. no connection errors whatsoever.

What i`m trying to say is that i didn`t come up with a solution either for the people that might be experiencing the same thing, so apologies for that. Of course ty once again for the feedback and have a happy gaming :3
