Have you even tried to search both here on forum and on net for guides? There are a lot of guide that take you through and also suggest how to get map tokens. Dragon Fall gave vendors where you exchange map token from other maps for VM. Right now when there is both WvW event and Festival of the Four Winds event then you have to expect less pop on Dragon Fall. Farm every PoF map and you should have in almost no time most token.

Here is a link to wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Festival_of_the_Four_Winds (use search and should find out more)

I remember well these collections. I think they are really designed to slow you down so you can't just "farm" skyscale in a hard day of grinding. Just flying around (on your griffin) and mining the ore nodes in the map.

The mistonium, however, you get a break in Jahai Bluffs. You can farm up to like 15 pieces per character on the Jahai Bluffs map doing that dynamic event that is always going on. You follow that big pink bubble on the map and go inside it and kill all the mobs and get like 5 to mistonium each time. The event lasts about 1 to 2 minutes and begins again immediately in another location. Rinse and repeat and you can get plenty of mistonium. There is a diminishing return the more you do it on your character, so be prepared to swap characters. I do the event about 3 times per character. I found that the location of that bubble was really limited to like 3 places on the map. The one at Venta Pass is the easiest location and there is a mistonium node right there at the base of the waterfall too. It will also spawn south of Yatendi waypoint, sort of in that purple wasteland. If you need help locating the pink bubble phenomenon to locate the event, take a swirl-ride on the dynamic twister that is always raging on that map. It will lift you up very high and you can see that bubble's location in all directions.

In Jahai Bluffs Pact Vanguard section, Soul's Vendetta Waypoint, there is an easy little target dummy heart. You can load all your characters into that section and do that heart and with the karma, buy 5 pieces of mistonium per character.

Doing hearts in each map with multiple characters nets you 5 per heart, per character (So with 3-4 hearts per map that's 15-20 per character) this can be done once per day per character. (You can use the Portal Scrolls bought from the Volatile Magic vendors in order to port to the maps for characters whom haven't unlocked them yet)

Doing map completion rewards 25 per character (Except in Sandswept Isles where you only get 5 Diflourite Crystals)

You can buy 5 of each currency sans Mistborne Motes, every day, from the vendor in Dragonfall using Volatile Magic.

Trade Contracts can be farmed by doing PoF HP's, the ones where you have to fight a veteran, once per day per character.

Kralkatite Ore, Inscribed Shards, Branded Mass and Lumps of Mistonium can also be obtained through their maps unique chests (Sunspear Cache, Kournan Supply Cache, Dwarven Chest and Mist Touched Cache respectively) once per day per account.

Kralkatite Ore can also be obtained from harvesting from Brandstone meteors.

You can also farm Bjora's Marches for Eternal Ice Shards and exchange them for these currencies.

There are farming paths in the Tekkit addon for Taco. Some people have the map currencies in their home instances, so look for players inviting others into their home instance (they advertise in map chat). The home nodes guarantee map currency, unlike the nodes on the maps themselves.

Have spent nearly a week doing the Skyscale achievments, spent gold and have done the events only to find at the end stupid jumping puzzles needed for last achievment not one but many. I cannot do jumping puzzles for the life of me, have tried and tried. Not everyone can do jumping puzzles at least one's like Metrica province and the likes. I play Gw2 for WvW and my style of PVE I have never done Jumping puzzles because I don't like them and it is not my play style, looks like I will not being getting a Skyscale after all. Thanks for nothing.

You can skip the JP's by crafting the treats

  1. Strike Missions and Eternal Ice — SMs are easy and quick. Just do them daily and exchange Eternal Ice for LS4 currency in Bjora Marches.
  2. Do daily hearts and gathering in LS4 maps.
  3. Check merchants in current festival.
  4. If you haven't explore LS4 maps — do it.

The merchants in the current festival only offer LS3 currency, so that one is out.

  • 4 weeks later...

I just completed my skyscale, so it's very fresh for me.

Almost every single JP needed can be bypassed with gliding and/or griffon. Google the name of the JP and "griffon" or "cheat" or "shortcut".

I did almost all of my zone currency using only one heart in each zone, over ten characters. The heart vendor will let you buy 5 currency after completing the heart. This does cost a small chunk of Karma. Most of them are stupid easy to knock out though. In order to do this efficiently, I did purchase a portal scroll for each zone (except Jahai Bluff's, because I had Spearmarshall's Plea to take me there). With the portal scroll in my one shared inventory slot, I could bus each character in and complete in turn.

Kralkatite Ore - Do the heart at the Astralarium. Run around and align all the mirrors, clean off all the posters. I think this doesn't complete, but they reset really fast. Do it on another character, then come back to the first. This heart vendor actually sells bundles of 25, so you won't have to do this one very many times.

Difluorite Crystals - This one was the most annoying. Run around the farm on your springer, stomp the beetle burrows.

Inscribed Shard - Run supplies back and forth for the allied encampment. Super easy and fast if you have beetle.

Branded mass - Run around and inspire troops. Hit the single troops first until green meter is filled, then get a couple of troop groups.

Lump of Mistonium - Super dumb one. Just throw a purple crystal at the dummies a dozen times or so.

Mistborn motes are the only one this doesn't work for. For that, use GW Tac0 and Tekkit's farming route. People do the meta regularly, so chances are as you are doing the route you'll end up getting to jump into the meta and get a bunch from that as well.

On my 10 characters, this netted me a bout 1/5th of what I needed each play session, so five sessions I had a full set. I had a ton of Trade Contracts just from running around the desert doing the story and other events.

If you're bad at JPs but don't want to buy treats, you can also get this thing from Sandswept Isles: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prototype_Position_Rewinder

It lets you bookmark your current position up to 1/sec and teleport back to your last saved spot every 30 sec. So like a Mesmer "safety portal" but with way less waiting around for cooldowns. You can use it to great simplify any JP that doesn't require holding a bundle full-time (you can even use it in those JPs, too, if you don't care about the chest and just want the achievement/skyscale credit).

I forgot to mention, in Kourna you can also go collect the messages in bottles for another heart. Do 10 messages, you'll get half the heart. Do another character and come back to the first.

All of the hearts I mentioned you can do without any combat, too, so if you have level 80s who aren't terribly geared or have their elite specs yet, no problem.

By taking my time LOL~

I only work on a single map a day, on 2 characters. Any more and I start to feel the grind. For me, it's better to go slower and feel like I'm accomplishing something over time then to rush it and feel damn sick of this shit.

Just complete the map's hearts, then buy the currency from the vendor. And buy the 5 from Dragonfall too.

You can get 100 Trade Contracts from the Hero's Choice Chest once per day per meta. Casino meta takes only a few minutes.

If you have alot of characters you can leverage them by only doing a single heart per character per day, on each map. This is much less stressful than trying to do all the hearts or map complete the whole map for resources.

The easiest and quickest way was to simply buy the resources during a festival.
