Hey guys :)im looking for a pve Ranger build i didnt play for along time.I just see all the negative threads in forum about the ranger about the last patches? But it seems like it just hit the pvp aspect. Is there any good allrounder pve build for dungeons fractals and raids?

I use this build with A/A and LBow in OPEN PvE, but change to D/A for sPvE. Even A/A should do okay with a small dps decrease. It is probably one of the best build to tag mobs in events for Ranger.https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/ranger/soulbeast/power/

When I'm lazy and I don't want to use my head for sPvE, I use a shortbow condi build like this one.

In both builds, for solo/Open PvE, change some stuff and add Dolyak Stance and Quickening Zephyr. Keep Sic Em for the Power build. Keep Vulture Stance and Sharpening Stones for the condi build.

When coming to the forums, always bear in mind that the people who post here are a minority of the GW2 community, and the majority of that minority are whiners who come here just to complain. For every one post you see complaining here about the state of X class, there are dozens of players in the game enjoying that class in whatever build they like, oblivious to what the forum whiners and meta edge riders think.

The core Longbow Beastmastery "bowbear" hasn't changed much in GW2's history. While it's certainly not meta for raids and fractals, it's still reasonably effective for casual players in most content.

Just wanted to say thank you, I'm in the same situation - returning after a long hiatus and going to try a Ranger. It's good to know 'bowbear' is still the good old reliable build. Metabattle came up first on my Google search, but it's nice to have confirmation this is a good GW2 build site.

Now just have to get used to the changes. They didn't even have a Build tab when I stopped playing....
