It was a welcomed feature when the game came out. But since 2012 the game has grown in playable areas, and alas, the custom music feature is wobbly, and often fails to function properly. The first thing this feature needs is a proper cleanup so I can work as intended. For exemple; underwater music takes a while to kick in, and if you come out, it continues to play. Ambient music ofttimes keeps playing during combat. And for some unknown reason, some tracks get played over and over again despite having a fairly good selection of tracks the program can use.

The second thing it needs is a regional overhaul; having music for the geographical region we're in. Each region should have its distinctive tracks so we could have music that matches the region; Shiverpeaks, Crystal Desert, Charr, Orr, Crystal Desert, and so on. I don't exactly believe such a feature would be hard to implement. For instance, instead of having ambient1.mp3, we could have Shiverpeaks_amb1, Orr_amb1, Crystal_amb1, and so on, along with night versions.
