Joining fractals

I'm totally new to fractals; how do I join a group? I know the location in Lion's Arch, but all I saw was a million people milling around the main Asura gate.

Ok just an obvious question from me. Did you try the Looking for Group tool? Right now because of the event there are always groups looking for more players.

For any group content it's generally better to use the Looking For Group tool rather than asking in map chat (or other chat channels) because the LFG tool is visible to everyone in your region even if they're in a different copy of the map or an entirely different map so you're more likely to get people joining your group.

It also means you only have to post it once and the message will stay up until the group fills or you remove it, instead of having to repost it every so often because it's moved too far up the chat or new people might have come along since last time.

The million people milling around the gate is probably due to the current Fractal Rush bonus event. The merchant is just outside the entrance.
