Superior Rune of Strength Vs. Superior Rune of the Berserker

Which one of those runes would be better for an Elementalist using Berserker gear?

Depends on how often you can get might. strength is superior on certain builds

Why would you run Berserker rune with a Berserker gear ele? There's no reason to as it's for condi or hybrid. You'd want scholar or Strength (if there's no external might source). You give up 225 ferocity (15% crit damage) if you don't run Scholar rune even if your 5% bonus damage from >90% HP is poor in terms of upkeep.

Scholar always. Strength just isnt worth it on ele since its might stacking is awful on power builds. If you're cheap (which I dont understand in era of 20 gold per hour map meta events), you can take ogre runes. Even pack give more value than strength since you lack both precision and reliable fury source.

People seem to underestimate the role of what that Rune is for. It's to give Might a longer duration and a 5% kick. Not be an end-all damage boost. Scholar is always the winner. :tongue:

Sure, but your might application is nonexistent. Builds on ele that can actually give might (like condi/support tempest) already have tools to give long might duration and they dont even benefit from power stats of strength runes.

It's the same like taking condi duration runes when your condi damage is 200. No point of buffing might duration when you can barely get any might.

Before Pyromancer's Puissance was changed to expend might on swapping out of fire , Rune of Strength was used a while back on WvW DPS weavers.
