Many veterans run around with 300-400 MF base which is a 30-40% increase in the rate of rare drops and is big advantage over a new player.If you've ever played an alt account and sobbed at your inventory of only blues you'd understand. Who cares if I got 1 or 2 more rares than usual. It's just 10 to 20s more.Thats hardly worth talking about for a big time event.I'd rather have MORE DROPS than broken magic find.MORE DROPS to me is better than gambling magic find.I feel MORE LUCKY with MORE DROPS MORE LOOT.I'm after the truly unique items. That will be most noticeable with things like unidentified gear and such, you'll generally get higher rarities. Will generally get more things like unidentified gear instead of vendor junk items, etc.Helps a lot in the long run.If you're expecting to get a precursor every day, then no, that probably isn't happening. Those items hold value for a reason. If they were made that much more common by simply stacking MF, they'd be near worthless.I have found 3 precursors over time after being near or capped on the 300% from luck though, if that's worth anything.
